What kind of births do you attend?

I tend to book a lot of home birth clients but I do accept both home & Hospital birth clients! all types of birth matters and deserves to be captured.

How does being on call work?

I go on call for my clients from 38-42+ weeks gestation, during that time I am by my phone at all times waiting for your call.

When do you join during labor?

I usually tell my clients (if you are having cervical checks done) to let me know when you are about 6 cm dilated. If you are not having cervical checks done I tell clients to let me know when contractions are getting closer together and much more intense! Usually if its getting hard to talk through contractions that's a good time I head your way.

What if I have a C-section?

If the Hospital you are birthing at will allow me into the OR I will join you during surgery, if not I take before images and then I'll meet you in recovery and join you back in your room for golden hour images so you still have a beautiful gallery to tell your story.

How long do you stay at a birth?

Once active labor begins I stay all through labor and birth and then 1-2 hours after birth to capture those precious golden hour moments!

Do you use flash?

I do use flash and will speak to you about that during our consultation. if for any reason my flash bothers you I will turn it off, I just like to let clients know depending on lighting situations during birth your images may have more "grain" in them vs when I use my flash. I will say I've never had a client say my flash bothered them! They all usually say they didn't even notice it.

What if I don't want any moment of birth images?

Your birth is your birth. You can design your choices exactly how you want to. If you don't want any crowning shots, placenta shots etc you can ask me not to include those images. Your gallery can be as honest or as modest as you choose.

What happens if you miss my birth?

This is such a great question! We go over this during our Constitution, it is also Greatly covered in my contract. Birth is unpredictable and keeps us on our toes but I do my very best to ensure I don't miss a birth. The best advice I can give my clients is to keep great communication with me throughout labor, and once things pick up your partner can take over updating me.

I see you share a lot of your work, do I have to agree to letting you share my images?

Absolutely not! Of course I love sharing my work and showcasing beautiful birth stories, but this question is not one size fits all. Everyone is different in what they are comfortable sharing and we can discuss that at our consultation. Once receiving your gallery you have the ability to mark any images you don't want shared as private and then those images won't be shared.
